Statue to be Dedicated at Mt. Pisgah
Folklore dictates that the great Oneida Indian Chief and warrior, Wetona, was very fond of what would later be named Mt. Pisgah and it is reported that he enjoyed sitting at various outcrops, enjoying the vistas and praying to the Indian Gods over two hundred years ago,. The Bradford County Commissioners began purchasing what would eventually become a county park in 1969.
