Governor Signs Law Making Abusers Pay for Care of Seized Animals
Gov. Tom Corbett has signed a new law requiring alleged animal abusers to pay reasonable costs for the care of their seized animals. These expenses include food, water, shelter and medical care. Reasonable costs of care will be limited to $15 per day per animal, in addition to necessary medical care as determined by a licensed veterinarian.
