An Allentown, PA police officer whose parents are William Hillis, formerly of Laceyville, and his wife, Alice (Burgess), formerly of Wyalusing, was recently honored by the Allentown Police Department, the Pennsylvania House and Senate and the U.S. Congress for exceptional service in the line of duty during an incident that took place in October 2012.
