Dairy Ambassador Defines Lactose Intolerance
I am one of about 40 million Americans that are lactose intolerant. Lactose, also known as milk sugar, is found in milk and other dairy foods. Most people produce the needed amount of lactase, which digests lactose at birth and in childhood but some people have a decrease in lactase after the age of two.
