Reflections Of Nature
Mary Alice and I were traveling west on Route 6 when a robin flew directly across the road in front of us, and then, a second robin, in hot pursuit, hit our vehicle, with a loud thud. Being a wildlife officer I had an idea of how many larger animals were killed by vehicles each year; however, this incident made me wonder how many birds are killed on our highways.
