To whomever it may

To whomever it may concern, I feel I should provide some more information on the concerns about Mr Clarks water bill since I was unable to attend this months meeting. It should be noted that 400,000 gallons of water per year by 12 people comes out to... 33,333 gallons per year by 12 people 91.26 gallons per day per person. With a simple google search on the average water consumption in the United States comes up with several sources that people use over 100 gallons a day a person. This link states the average American uses about 176 gallons per day. http://www.waterinfo.org/resources/water-facts Now thats not to say that there can't be anything wrong with Mr Clarks reading. It is being looked into. It is also very possible that the older meter isn't registering all of the gallons that are going through it and the bill could in fact be higher after a new meter is installed. I just felt it was appropriate to share this information because knowledge is power and people need to be well informed. Also note that the average African family uses 5 gallons of water per day or less. Thanks Keith Pennay Laceyville Borough Councilman
