The Bugle Calls
Gilbert Corwin, along with his brother Adelbert, enlisted in the 141 Pennsylvania Volunteers from the Montrose area on Aug. 12, 1862. Exactly two weeks later he was fully on the path to war as he was outfitted and officially mustered into the army. Through the ensuing winter, army life was rather mundane for Gilbert.
