BOOK SALE

Book Sale on Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Mather Memorial Library in Ulster. A variety of gently used books and library discards will be available for sale. The sale will be held inside with some items on display outside, weather permitting. The library is located at 23866 Route 220 in Ulster. Parking is available across the street from the library.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held Thursday, April 18, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Wysox Presbyterian Church in Wysox. A light supper of soup and sandwiches will be provided before the service. All are welcome to attend!

CLEAN-UP DAY

Cleanup day has been scheduled for Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m. The Beaver Meadows Cemetery Association would like to remind all lot owners and visitors that all Christmas/ winter, artificial flowers and decor must be removed by Tuesday, April 30 of each year so that mowing and trimming may begin. Unless you have a small border around your lot, all toys and other items must be removed. Everyone is welcome.

EASTER EVENTS

Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Wyalusing United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 20 from 9-11 a.m. Bring the kids and your camera! Menu: pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice, milk and coffee.

Annual Meshoppen Holiday Fund Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Meshoppen Ballpark. Rain or Shine. 5 age groups; Infant-2, 3- 5, 6-8, 9-12 and 13 and up. Fun, prizes and refreshments.

Wyalusing’s Easter Egg Hunt, held in the borough park, is Saturday, April 20 beginning promptly at noon. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around to meet and greet children. Mom and dad, don’t forget your cameras. It is suggested to arrive at the park no later than 11:45 a.m.

“The Story of the Lamb,” a community Good Friday service, will be held Friday, April 19, 6:30 p.m. at the Northeast High School gym. The event includes music, brief messages from area pastors and a program especially for children directed by Stoney Point Camp. All are welcome to this celebration of Jesus’ loving work on our behalf.

Representatives from the Apprise program are available year-round at the B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc. office in Towanda to counsel individuals regarding Medicare, Medicaid, Advantage Plans, Medigap/Supplement, prescription plans, PA PACE program, numerous medical insurance and prescription drug eligibility programs and assistance with the completion of various medical forms and applications. T.A.C.O. Food Pantry Notice of Change in Service. May 12- 18, T.A.C.O. Food Pantry will not be open for regular pantry service the second Monday of each month. Monday, May 13 will be for Elder Share and Fresh Express only from Noon- 4 p.m. The pantry will maintain regular Mon., Wed. and Fri. service from 10 a.m.-noon, except for the second Monday.
