Lola Remington Lola Remington Lola M. Remington of Tunkhannock died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 in The Gardens, an assisted living facility, in Tunkhannock where she had been a guest since December 2015.

She was born in Laceyville on July 24, 1924, daughter of the late James Arthur and Florence Brown Tinna. She had worked at various local restaurants and at a McGregor factory in Newton, NJ, for a number of years. One of her memorable moments was working at a factory in support of America’s WWII military efforts

Lola is survived by her adopted son, Robert (Butch Setser) Remington; her only granddaughter, Alissa Raquel, and great-granddaughter, Aiyanna Dortch.

Affectionately known as Geri, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Remington, a Tunkhannock native; brothers, Harold “Bim” Tinna and Earl “Smokey” Tinna; sisters, Jean Shauger and Helen Wells. Surviving siblings include her brother, Tim and wife, Mary Tinna of Mehoopany; sisters, Margaret Carney of Meshoppen, Ruth Cook of Tunkhannock and Frances Mallory of Lecanto, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga Street, Tunkhannock. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
