Lisa Marshall Lisa Marshall Lisa Marshall, 53, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, Feb. 9, 2018 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock.

Born on May 10, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Marshall, who passed away on Dec. 25, 1982, and Cecilia Ryan Marshall, who passed away on Aug. 20, 2010.

Lisa grew up in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn until she was in the fifth grade. She graduated from Elk Lake High School with the Class of 1982. She continued her education by receiving a degree from Keystone College in Computer Science and a degree from Misericordia University in Social Works. She worked as a social worker at the Wyoming County Bureau of Aging for over 30 years.

She was a past member and past president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary at the Black Walnut American Legion Post 510, past member of the American Red Cross and past member of the Meshoppen Fire Company and Ambulance Association. She loved to have family picnics down by the Susquehanna River at Myo Beach.

Lisa enjoyed playing Bingo, going out to dinner with her friends and keeping up on things through Facebook. She loved to travel and would take spontaneous road trips to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Most of all, Lisa loved being around her family, especially the children.

Lisa is survived by her sisters, Carol (Charles) Kirchoff of West Nyack, NY, and Linda Thompson (Richard Williams) of Tunkhannock; brothers, William (Mary Jo) Marshall of Long Island, NY, and Bruce (Jamie) Marshall of Meshoppen; stepchildren, Saria Brewer and Leighann Warner, both of Tunkhannock, as well as stepgrandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Abiding by Lisa’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or memorial services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lisa’s name to the True Friends Animal Welfare Center, 16332 SR 706, Montrose, Pa 18801.

Arrangements were entrusted with Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR 6, Meshoppen.
