Hunters’ Breakfast, Sunday, Nov. 29, 8 a.m. to noon at Northeast Bradford Memorial VFW 6824 on Haigh’s Pond Road. Pancakes, ham, sausage, eggs, biscuit w/gravy, home fries, milk, juice and coffee. Donation at door benefits the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary. Open to public.


Christmas Tea Party, Sunday, Dec. 6, 12 – 2 p.m. Sponsored by and held at the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce, 20 Main Street, Wyalusing. The theme is Teddy Bear and Friends Picnic. Dr. Lori Smith of Wyalusing Pet Clinic will host a wellness clinic, checking on the health of all the stuffed animals that are attending. A light lunch, tea, lemonade and desserts will be served. Boys and girls are invited to attend. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling Carol Goodman at 607- 222-4118. Only 100 tickets will be sold, no second seating.


Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving via fire truck in Wyalusing on Friday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. at the town’s Christmas tree, located on the corner of Marsh and Church Streets. The Wyalusing Adult Band will be playing carols for a sing-along. Warm cider will be provided by members of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church. After caroling, Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the children to the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce building for a visit. A craft will be available for the children. Paper and a mailbox will be available so children can write a letter to Santa. Dancers from Whipple’s School of Dance will be performing at the chamber building. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided by the Wyalusing Hotel. There is no charge for this event. For more information, call 607-222-4118.

The Montrose Community Chorale will present their annual program on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 367 Church Street, Montrose.

The Barbershoppers will present a musical concert to honor Wes Spencer on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. He was a founding member of the Barbershoppers over 35 years ago. Cookies and cider after program. The Towanda Universalist Unitarian Fellowship will be presenting “Guest at Your Table” by Marsha Lewis on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. The service will be held in the sanctuary at 305 2nd St., Towanda.

The Cargill Relay for Life team, The Moo Crew is planning a Christmas Shopping: Home Parties and More event that will be held at the Wyalusing fire hall on Sunday, Nov. 22 from 1-4 p.m. So mark it down on your calendar. There will be cash and carry items, as well as catalogs for ordering. There will also be a bake sale, Chinese Auction and more.

On Saturday, Nov. 21, the Wyalusing Valley Senior Chorus will present their annual concert fundraiser, A Little Night Music. The show will feature the Senior Chorus, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Early Morning Jazz, Wyalusing Swing Choir and guest performer, Senior Chorus Alumni, Kirstyn Ballard. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Kenneth S. Williams Auditorium. Tickets are $6 and preschool free. The are now on sale in the high school office until the night of the show. Tickets are now on sale for an upcoming Pat Kane concert. Kane will be performing Christmas and Irish music. Compassionate Friends— of the Endless Mountains will hold their meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Endless Health Community Center, Montrose. TCF is open to all families who have lost a child from any cause at any age. There are no membership dues or fees of any kind. Grief Support Group will meet Thursdays from Sept. 10 to Dec. 10, except Nov. 26, from 7-8:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at the Braintrim Baptist Church, 283 Church St., Laceyville. Enter at the handicapped entrance on Church St. The group will be using the nationally known GriefShare program designed for those who have lost a loved one to death. Caregivers’ Support Group sponsored by the Law Office of Leslie Wizelman and the B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging meets at noon the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Library at Memorial Hospital Personal Care Home in Towanda. Anyone taking care of a family member or loved one, be it at home or as a resident of a longterm care facility welcome. American Legion Auxiliary Unit #534 will meet on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Post Home. Members are reminded that it is now time to start paying your dues, and we ask that you do not pay them online. Don't forget we are collecting items for veterans in the Wilkes-Barre VA Center and Gino Merli Center. Items may be dropped off at the Legion after 2 p.m. before Nov. 30.

TACO Thanksgiving Towanda Area Christian Outreach (TACO) Food Pantry will be closed from Wednesday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The pantry will reopen Monday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. TACO (located on Rt. 6, Wysox) is normally open Mon., Wed. and Fri., 10 a.m. until noon and serves the Towanda, Northeast Bradford and Wyalusing school district area.
