Monthly Breakfast at the Herrickville Fire Hall, Sunday, Oct. 26, 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. All you can eat: pancakes, French toast, ham, sausage, eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee, orange juice, real maple syrup and sugar-free syrup. Christmas Events

The Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce is making plans for its annual Christmas tea party to be held on Sunday, Dec. 7 at noon in the Tuscarora Wayne Community Room at 20 Main Street in Wyalusing. Sponsor this year is Farm and Home Plaza. The theme is “Winter Wonderland with Frozen.” Tickets available now at the chamber office for $10 each. Call 570-746-4922 for more information.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish will be having its annual Christmas Bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the church hall in Wyalusing. There will be an assortment of vendors with many types of crafts. A chicken and biscuit lunch will be served. Bake sale, Chinese auction and turkey raffle. Come check out the “Biggest Little Bazaar” in the area. Tables are available. For questions, call Dennis at 570-746-9192.

Church

The Ekumen Chorale of Archbald will present a program of a cappella music on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 276 Church St., Montrose.

Susquehanna Singers Musical, “In Christ Alone” at the First Presbyterian Church of Towanda on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary and at the Monroeton United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. Public invited.

A movie, “God’s Not Dead” will be shown at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7 at the Neath Church, about three miles east of LeRaysville on East Street. Public welcome. No admission fee charged and refreshments will be served. The movie is a drama about a college student who must prove God’s existence to a professor.

Granville Center Church of Christ of Granville Summit will be hosting a clothing giveaway on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon. Donations of clothing will be accepted Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. For any questions, call the church office at 570-364-5110.

Dinners

Free soup supper at Hollenback United Methodist Church on Nov. 12 and Dec. 10 from 5 to 6 p.m. with a Bible Study from 4:30 until 5. All are welcome.

The Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Appreciation Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the fire hall. The dinner is held in honor of everyone who took part in helping with this year’s firemen’s celebration. The Hollenback United Methodist Church will hold a chicken and biscuit luncheon on Nov. 4, starting at 11:30 a.m. Adults, $8.

Wysox Community Halloween Party on Sunday, Oct. 26 at the Wysox EMS Building, Rt. 187 South from 2 to 4 p.m. Costume judging at 2:30 for most original, prettiest, scariest, ugliest. Refreshments will be served.

Wysox EMS Haunted House, on Friday, Oct. 24 from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 p.m. to midnight and Oct. 31 from 7 to 11 p.m. $6 for adults, 13 and older. $4, kids 12 and under.

Meshoppen Borough Trick or Treat on Oct. 31, 4 to 7 p.m. Parade will begin at 7 p.m. at the ballpark.

Terrytown trick-or-treat will be held on Thursday night, Oct. 30 ending at 7 p.m. Leave your porch light on if you wish to have little visitors.

Camptown Halloween trickor treating date is Sunday, Oct. 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. Anyone interested in participating is asked to leave their outside porch light on.

Laceyville Borough Trick or Treat will be held on Friday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Compassionate Friends—of the Endless Mountains will hold their meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Endless Health Community Center, Montrose. TCF is open to all families who have lost a child from any cause at any age. There are no membership dues or fees of any kind. MOPS—(Mothers of Preschoolers) meet every first and third Wed. of the month from 9 to 11 a.m., September through May. Meetings are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 5 Court St., Towanda. Memorial Hospital’s monthly bereavement support group schedule for 2014 will continue to meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., located in the library on the lower level of Memorial Hospital, Towanda. The group follows the book by James Miller, What Will Help Me? and other authors’ writings related to grief and loss. The support group is open to those who have experienced loss and is facilitated by Trudy Ventello, LSW, a social worker with Memorial Hospital’s Hospice program. Wyalusing Musical Society will meet on Oct. 28 at the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church with Nancy Bendinsky and Wendy Gaustad as hostesses. We welcome Nancy Bendinsky as a new member. The theme for the evening will be planning Candlelight and sharing the history of Christmas Carols.

Caregivers’ Support Group sponsored by the Law Office of Leslie Wizelman and the B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging meets at noon the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Library at Memorial Hospital Personal Care Home in Towanda. Anyone taking care of a family member or loved one, be it at home or as a resident of a long-term care facility welcome.
